CHAKA’S NEW MUSIC, CANDY AND CANDLES

The year 2013 marks the 60th birthday and 40th career anniversary of Grammy-Award winner Chaka Khan. To celebrate, the legend is going all out with new music (a multi-genre project called iKhan) and product launches, including a line of home fragrances and candles called Khana Sutra, and a line of gourmet chocolates called Chakalates. Performers and presenters at this year’s Grammy’s will be gifted with her gourmet chocolate line and candle collection from the legend herself, as she’ll be in person in the Grammy Gift Lounge meeting with musicians and handing out her products. The first release from The iKhan Project: Commemorative Limited Edition is called "It's Not Over" and will drop March 19th.  Chaka also plans to tour both in the US and internationally. Want some Chaka chocolate? Chakalates and Khana Sutra are available on Chaka’s website at http://www.chakakhan.com/

WHITNEY GETS FOUR

Madame Tussauds has turned its attention to Whitney Houston, remembering the legendary singer who died last year with not one, but four separate wax figures. “We were extremely honored when Madame Tussauds approached us about doing four figures of Whitney from different points in her 30-year career,” Houston’s manager and sister-in-law Pat Houston said in a statement on behalf of the family. “This is something we are excited to do for the fans.” The unveiling marks the first time in 200 years that the museum has simultaneously created so many different figures of the same subject. While each took shape at the Tussauds studio in London, they will be displayed in separate cities. You can see the four new figures (here)
