We made some calls, and Eddie is very much alive.

The frenzy was triggered by MediaFetcher.com. The site has been spinning bogus stories about other celebs they claim are dead but are not -- including Jon Bon Jovi, Charlie Sheen, Adam Sandler, TooShort, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Bacon, Luke Perry, Jack Black, Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Tom Green, Mac Miller, Tiger Woods, George Clooney, and others.

Judge Paula Abdul was universally hated for telling Scherzinger to let the public make the decision whether to send 13-year-old Rachel Crow home.

It was clear that something had to be done about the celebrity judges.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Simon Cowell has fired judges Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and the horrible suck-up Steve Jones.

Recording exec LA Reid’s job might also be on the chopping block. THR reports that “a source close to LA Reid says the fourth member of the X Factor panel has not been informed of any change to his status as judge.”

British singer Seal is on a cross country promo tour for his new album of 70s Soul classics, Soul 2, which dropped today in the U.S. The album was originally released in November 2011 in Europe.

On Sunday, Seal, 48, and his supermodel wife, Heidi Klum, 38, announced their separation after 7 years of marriage and 4 kids together. Coincidence or publicity stunt for his new album?

Yesterday, Seal was a guest on the ‘Tavis Smiley Show’ on PBS (he also stopped by the Ellen Show). On both shows, Seal talked about his new album, but the questions inevitably turned to the split between he and his wife.

Seal told Tavis that the separation did not make recording his album difficult. “just because you decide to separate… you don’t stop loving each other. You don’t… stop being friends,” said Seal. He added: “What one has to do is remain civil to retain one’s dignity… It’s unfortunately a chapter of life

Apparently Halle Berry’s nanny doesn’t have good karma because a judge today tossed out her restraining order petition against Gabriel Aubry.

As you know, Alliance Kamdem, 29, took out a police report last week accusing Aubry, 35, of “ongoing” verbal and physical abuse towards her. Kamdem claims Aubry hurled racial epithets at her and shoved her into a door while she was holding Nahla last Wednesday.

In her petition, Kamdem cited another alleged incident in June in which she claims Gabriel violently pushed her out a door.

According to celebrity gossip website, TMZ.com, Kamdem “also said Gabriel didn’t like her from the moment she began her duties as a nanny last June.  She claims Gabriel said, “You are a spy,” and “Nahla doesn’t like you, she doesn’t want you here.”

She said that while she was performing her nanny duties on the set of Halle’s movie in Spain, Aubry “would walk over and violently grab/take Nahla away from me.”

But the judge wasn’t convinced. He called Kamdem’s accusations  “insufficient and speculative” — and he advised her to take the matter up in family court. The judge rejected her claims probably because what Kamdem was saying didn’t make sense without Aubry’s side of the story

The hip-hop heavyweight was recently hit with a lawsuit from a woman named
Tyrisha Childers, who alleges she has a three-year-old son by Ross and the star
has never paid any maintenance.

Ross is adamant the woman, from Georgia, is mistaken, and now he's offered to
take part in a paternity test to prove he's not the father, according to
TMZ.com.

Tracy Morgan was rushed to hospital in Park City, Utah, on Sunday after collapsing at the Sundance Film Festival, according to reports.

The 30 Rock actor, 43, fell unconscious following the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards dinner, where he accepted the Spotlight Initiative Award, according to the Hollywood Reporter. He was taken to Park City Medical Center.

A spokeswoman for the hospital said no drugs or alcohol were found in his system. The actor's rep denied Morgan had been drinking, despite reports that said he seemed out of control at the dinner, yelling and falling down.

In a statement, the rep said Morgan was hospitalized "from a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention," adding: "He is with his fiancée [Megan Wallover] and grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care. Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100% false."
Morgan's current status was not known. The outspoken (and often controversial) actor, who has diabetes, underwent a kidney transplant in December 2010.
